Masaka Microfinance and Development Cooperative Trust Ltd (MAMIDECOT) is a member-based Savings and Credit Organization (SACCO) regulated by the Ministry of Cooperatives under the Cooperative Societies Act 1991 (Cap 112). The SACCO registered in 1999 as No. 6317/RCS. MAMIDECOT is a member to national apex bodies such as; The Association of Microfinance Institutions of Uganda (AMFIU) and the Uganda Cooperative Savings and Credit Union (UCSCU). The institution byelaws and policies provide guidance to management and all the institution stakeholders in its operations.
Due reforms in cooperative regulatory regimes, the ministry of cooperative and the apex bodies have earmarked MAMIDECOT for regulation by the Central Bank of Uganda under the Tier4 Microfinance and Money Lenders Act 2016 effective July 2018. The SACCO promotes the Rockdale’s cooperative principles that include:
♥ Voluntary and open membership;
♥ Democratic member control;
♥ Economic participation by members;
♥ Autonomy and independence;
♥ Education, training and information;
♥ Co-operation among co-operatives; and
♥ Concern for community in general.
Currently the institution has 23,000 members, five branches namely Nyendo, Lukaya, Kalungu, Bukomansimbi and Bukunda, 60 staff and a 9 person Board of Directors.

Commercial/Business loan, School Fees Loan, Developmental loan, Agriculture production and value addition loan, Motor-vehicle loan, Boda-boda loan, solar loan and asset acquisition loan.
Money Transfer Services
MAMIDECOT provides mobile money transfer services. This enables our customers and the public to send and receive money anywhere in Uganda using their phones.
Agriculture and Business Management Advisory Services
Farm land planning, soil testing, climate change adaptation technologies, pests and weed control, farm production skills, Agro-processing and value addition, record keeping and marketing.
